No literally, we took our babies on the light rail this past tuesday (Johnny's 2nd birthday!). It was actually fun, we talked to people we probably wouldn't normally talk to outside of an insane asylum, smelled rank liquor breath and enjoyed the other thrills only public transportation can offer. We were also informed by an enthusiastic homeless looking gentleman of pending economic policy which we both found very interesting.
Our only stop (Central/Roosevelt) was the fair trade cafe. There I enjoyed one of the best bran muffins ever and the job of constantly pleading for Emma to "stop touching" I finally relented and bought her one of the super cute and socially responsible little cars she was playing with and it's a good thing because by the end of the visit it was broken. I really liked the place, or at least what I was able to absorb of it with my attentions being constantly diverted to a potential disaster every 2 minutes- next time I'm coming alone or with other adults. Bottom line, grab a friend get on the light rail and stop here for a delish lunch and coffee or tea. (Posted by Jenn)
